The world of professional dance training is demanding, exhilarating—and can often feel undersupported for the world we live in today. At Creative Generations, we’re here to change that. We’ve built a mentoring and dancer wellness community designed to support young dancers who are training at a professional level.
What makes Creative Generations truly unique is its focus on bridging the wisdom of seasoned professionals with the passion and potential of the next generation. Our mentors, all of whom have danced with renowned companies like San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, and in Broadway productions, bring their experience not just to technique, but to the emotional, mental, and practical realities of being a professional dancer.

For decades, dance training has focused almost exclusively on physical and artistic performance, without the support we need, especially at the highest levels. Today’s dancers face mounting pressures: increased competition, performance anxiety, and the expectation to excel in an art form steeped in tradition yet evolving at an unprecedented pace.
Creative Generations is a clear answer to these challenges—a program that balances tradition with innovation. By combining personalized mentorship with holistic resources like mindfulness training, relationship to nutrition, injury prevention, and career planning, we’re building a system of support that addresses the full spectrum of a dancer’s needs.

In the hierarchical culture of dance, mentorship has traditionally been informal, sporadic, and often inaccessible to those outside elite networks. Creative Generations changes that inequity. We’ve created a structured, intentional program where every dancer—no matter their background—has access to guidance, support, and a safe space to grow.

We’ve brought together a diverse team of mentors and experts, from world-class dancers to dancer therapists and nutritionists, to ensure that young artists can pursue their dreams without sacrificing their well-being.

Role of Mentors
Our team of mentors brings a wealth of experience to guide aspiring dancers on their journey. Drawing from backgrounds as principal dancers, ballet masters, and instructors from prestigious dance companies and even Broadway shows, our mentors have collaborated with a diverse array of historic and contemporary choreographers. With a collective teaching history across top universities, we offer invaluable insights to navigate the intricate paths of the dance world.
Wellness Team: Nutrition, Mindset, and Training Tools
Our expert wellness team are former dancers who have contributed so much to the richness of dance culture and continue to provide safe spaces for dancers to learn tools for self-care and wellbeing. Support is available for dance medicine physical therapy, dancer mental health, and dancer nutrition.
Role of Community
Through Creative Generations, our mentors provide invaluable support and advocacy for young dancers in personalized one-on-one sessions. Recognizing the individuality of each dancer is paramount in fostering their growth and improvement effectively. By integrating these emerging talents into the Creative Generations community, we aim to connect them with the professional dance sphere, offering guidance and companionship throughout their journey. Nurturing this connection is instrumental in helping young dancers comprehend the distinctive culture and demands of our highly competitive yet fulfilling industry.
